Employers can also hire freshers through this platform by posting job openings and connecting with potential candidates. Also provides a self-assessment tool for students to evaluate their skills and identify areas for improvement.






About this project
Career Climb is a dual-purpose platform built for MIST Computer Science undergraduates to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. It serves both students exploring career paths and employers seeking fresh talent.
For students, the platform offers interactive roadmaps for various CS fields — from software engineering to data science — with curated milestones, learning resources, and skill recommendations. A self-assessment quiz module evaluates proficiency across key areas and generates a personalized skill gap analysis, highlighting areas that need improvement before entering the job market.
For employers, Career Climb provides a dedicated dashboard to post job openings, browse student profiles filtered by skills and assessment scores, and connect directly with promising candidates. This dual-interface approach required careful UX design to balance the needs of two distinct user personas within a single platform.
Built with React, Node.js, Express, and Supabase, the platform was developed as a capstone project by a team of 5 over 3 months, following agile methodology with regular stakeholder feedback.
